About Mosaic

Mosaic was founded on April 1st, 2026 as the newest chorus of the Wasatch Front Chapter (WFC) of the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS), singing alongside our sibling ensemble, The Saltaires.

There are many ways to build an all-voice chorus—but we are intentionally built to be something a little different.

Mosaic exists within a paired-ensemble ecosystem alongside the Saltaires—equal in purpose, distinct in identity, and designed to strengthen the artistic life of the chapter as a whole. We’re shaping Mosaic as a living intersection where singers don’t just show up to rehearse, but actively help shape what the ensemble becomes—grounded in belonging, artistic growth, and collaborative excellence.

A place where every voice matters. And every voice is expected to grow.

Why we do what we do
We believe singing is more than performance—it’s connection made audible.

Mosaic exists to create joy in excellence, where singers can pursue meaningful artistry without losing sight of the simple human reason we sing in the first place: to belong, to express, and to share something real with other people.

We are driven by a shared set of values that shape everything we do:

What we do
Mosaic performs a cappella music through a barbershop-informed harmonic lens, blended with contemporary pop, jazz, choral repertoire, and reimagined standards.

Our arrangements and programming emphasize:

  • rich ensemble sound and vocal blend
  • emotional clarity and storytelling
  • inventive, modern approaches to familiar material
  • musical experiences that feel both crafted and alive

Every piece we sing comes back to one question:
What are we trying to say—and why does it matter right now?

That question guides our rehearsal process, our interpretive choices, and the way we shape performances as an ensemble. And then we build the answer together.

Join us
If you love to sing—or you used to, or you’re not entirely sure yet—you’re welcome here.
No auditions to visit. No barriers to start. No need to already fit any mold.
Just show up. We’ll figure the rest out together.
We rehearse Wednesdays, 7–10 PM at the CAEC in Salt Lake City.
If you have a voice, you have a place with us.
